Article19 will be cutting its' coverage of Impulstanz 04 short. After spending a couple of weeks here we have come to the conclusion that it's time for a change. Not just in the way we bring you coverage, nobody else does it like like we do so how could we do it any better, but Article19 in general may be about to change for good.

To be perfectly honest the Lab members have sat through one too many performances and other dance events that were less than earth shattering and this years festival has been no exception. You may have noticed the lack of updates to the [8] Tension Series of videos. To be blunt we have filmed five performances and only 2 of them were even approaching good enough to feature.

There are only so many times you can sit and watch someone talk for 45 minutes whilst crawling around on the floor and not come to the conclusion that there are better ways to spend your life.

This is not necessarily a failing of Impulstanz. The choreographers are to blame for the total lack of creativity and engaging content within their own work. However, we do have to wonder what the thinking was in allowing a lot of this stuff anywhere near a stage. A lot of contemporary dance seems hell bent on digging its' own grave and the companies appear to care nothing for the poor souls cramped into their seats watching this nonsense.

28-07-04 "Updates"

We are running a little bit behind with the up dates at the moment. There is a lot of work to get through and it all takes a little bit of time to sort out so patience dear reader patience. Video diaries are now up to day seven and there will be more images and idolater up later on tonight, much later on tonight.
