Thomas Small has been creating dance work now for more than a decade with his company Smallpetitklein based in Dundee in the North of Scotland.
‘Falling Man’ marks their first excursion into the crowded world of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and draws its inspiration from an infamous photograph taken by Associated Press photographer Richard Drew during the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11 2001.
During our interview we spoke to both Thomas Small and dancer Tom Pritchard about the work, tackling a difficult subject matter and how audiences here and in New York reacted to the piece.
